Richard A. Bierschbach is a law professor at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. He specializes in alternative sentencing, criminal law, and white-collar crime. Bierschbach attended the University of Michigan, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 1994, and his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1997. Bierschbach was a law clerk for Judge A. Raymond Randolph of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor of the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, Bierschbach served as an attorney-advisor for the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel as well as working as a Bristow Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General. Bierschbach began his time at Cardozo in 2003 as a visiting professor but was hired on a permanent basis in 2005.
